So I mowed the yard today, front and back. We have never had a lot of grass, but it has gotten better in the last few years. But now, well, the front is turning into dirt again. Why? Well, we put up a basketball goal. Yea, in the front yard. So, now, little feet and big feet, small basketballs and big ones, tromp thru the grass. So now, it's dirt. So today when the wind was blowing the dirt up and around me, and I couldn't get to the very edge of the drive way, since the goal is there and all, it occured to me. Grass won't grow there. Not anytime soon anyway, the feet and the balls, they keep it from coming up. But the next thought made me a little teary eyed...what happens when it will grow there?

Good thoughts. There was a song long ago saying basically the same thing about grass. It was called "it'll grow back".

We've got the same problem, one large tree, not enough sunlight and bermuda grass that's decided to flee the scene.
