So it seems only fair that since we blog about baseball, we should also blog about soccer. Alex had his frst soccer game on Thursday night. It was so much fun to watch! He had a blast and with some work I think he will start to "get it" and have even more fun.
He got to play quite a bit and has made some friends already on his team. Alex thrives in a crowd and so this proves to be well suited for him. He almost made a couple of goals, but not making them just made him play harder. We don't know much about soccer, but we are learning. As long as he wants to play we will cheer from the sidelines.
I am so proud of my boys, they are growing into great people and we are blessed to be their parents. We are still going strong here in "Staffordland", and we wouldn't have it any other way

BUSY!
So school is in full swing and we are busy around here! Alex started soccer last night. He met his team and had his first "practice"! He did so well, he listened and tried his best. I think he is going to enjoy soccer. It's new for me, but I can learn.
Labor Day weekend is upon us now, no big plans. Travs game tonight, the Razorback marching band is playing the National Anthem and fireworks after the game. The kids are looking forward to it. We plan in doing NOTHING tomorrow. It's our first weekend home in forever and we plan on staying in. Friends coming over on Sunday to eat and hang out. Not a lot going on, but we will have a great time no less. I haven't been great about blogging, you would think with no job outside of my house I would have more time. Funny how that works, I feel like I have less time. Oh well, I am so enjoying getting to be here during the day, the house is staying cleaner and I am spending time at the school helping out. Life is good and we are blessed.... Keep blogging, I enjoy reading about you!

First Day of 2nd grade....
I am so glad. We have a great teacher, Mrs. Hoggard. She is new to our school and I fell in love with her when I met her. Will has been so blessed with great teachers since he started school. He said he had a good day and is enjoying making new friends. I think this is going to be a great year.

First Day of School....
Well, today was Alex's first day of Pre-K. He is such a big boy and loves going to school so much. I dropped him off at 7:50a and picked him up at 2:30p. They said he did great, I had no doubt that he would.
Funny thing though, when I picked him up he only had one sock on. His teacher met me at the door and told that there was story there! Apparently my kid found the ant pile! The crawled onto his sock, "lots of 'em" (says Alex), so he sat down and took his sock off and left it for the ants to continue playing on! Mrs Brady didn't know it was Alex's sock, so when she was called over to see it, she threw it away! I laughed so hard! Alex said he didn't need a sock covered in ants! I can't blame him. So he had one sock on and one off when I picked him up! He told me all about his day and even got "treasure"! What a first day! I am so proud of him, he says that in a couple of weeks he wants me to drop him off, NOT walk him in! He is so big, I feel so blessed to be his mom! Will starts next week, so we will recap his day then. Be Blessed....

Air Conditioners, School, and Other Ramblings...
Okay, so this week has been a rough one. We discovered last Sunday that our a/c was leaking water...into the living room floor! Not fun! So, we look to find the source, locate and commence sucking up water. After 3 estimates on Monday and Tuesday, we have someone come and fix it on Wednesday, Thursday, and some Friday. (it took longer than he thought) Our air IS working again, there was one night and most of a day when it was pretty warm in the house, between 81-88 degrees. Remember it was 100 outside.... So, here we are. Saturday is here, the house is cool and life is back to normal, whatever that is.
Alex had open house on Tuesday, which was also Mike's birthday. He had to work, so the boys and I grilled steaks for dinner and had cake when he got home. We went and met Alex's teachers, who we think we are going to LOVE. School starts on Wednesday for him, Will starts the 19th. We are getting in school mode. Earlier bedtimes, back packs are ready, lunch box food purchased. I can't believe the summer is gone. It seems to have gone quickly this time. I really enjoyed getting to be home with the boys, I feel so blessed to have that opportunity. Here is a picture from the week, cause I think blogs are more fun if you get to see a picture! Be Blessed...
