26 Days til Christmas...

Thanksgiving has come and gone. I am feeling its effects in my clothes! Oh well, the day was wonderful. We spent time with both our families and enjoyed great food and wonderful conversation.

I love this time of year, the songs, the lights, the cold. Yes, I LOVE the cold, I could live in the north and be very content. I love that Christ thought so much of us that He sent His Son to earth to be born. How amazing it is to think about.

We are only 26 days from Christmas. I love the hustle and bustle, all the shoppers, the traffic, the sales. Christmas parties, dinners with families and friends. My goal this season is to slow down and take it all in. I want to enjoy the kids, Mike, my nephews, my neice. I want to spend time with my parents, with my sisters and brothers. I want to enjoy this most precious gift that has been given, Christ was sent for us and He has given time to enjoy all His gifts. Be Blessed...

Happy Thanksgiving....

We are going to cut down our Christmas tree tomorrow and decorate with the kids. I am really looking forward to it. I just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to you all. It has been an amazing year and I have so much to be thankful for. I had a successful surgery, I feel wonderful.
The kids have not been sick to speak of. Will is doing well in school. We were able to enroll Alex at CAC for PreK. Mike hasn't been down in his back like before this year. We have good jobs, wonderful family, and great friends. We are blessed. May your thanksgiving be a great one. Enjoy your time together and remember to be look for the simple moments... Be Blessed...

Inspired...

Stephanie inspired me to post a picture of a memory. I found this christmas picture of the boys. This is Alex's first Christmas, he was almost 1 and Will was 3. I'm like Steph, where did the time go?

Missed Opportunities....

So, yesterday morning, the preacher, my dad, spoke about missed opportunities. You know the ones, you just miss something that is there, take for granted the little things, forget to tell those close to you how much they mean because you always assume they know.

Mike lost an old friend yesterday. He was killed in a car accident. He was young, had a wife, and kids. Yesterday their worlds changed forever. In an instant it was all different. So today, I hugged the kids a little tighter, listened about their days a little closer. I called Mike at lunch to let him know I love him. It is about the simple things. Those small moments we should get lost in. I can't help but think what I would do if it was me at home tonight, wondering about a funeral visitation for my husband or my dad. Did I tell them enough? Do they know how much? I hope so.

Dad, I know you read, I love you! You are a great dad and a wonderful husband to mom. Thank you for being a great papa to my boys. I love you beyond words.

Mike, I love you. You are an amazing husband, a wonderful daddy, and a great provider. You are my world and I am thankful everyday for you!

I hope all my friends know how much I care, but I think this week, I will take the time and tell them. May I encourage you to do the same.
Simple moments, I just don't want to miss an opportunity.
Be Blessed...

8 Years....

8 Years ago this afternoon, I married my wonderful husband. It was a Saturday, the weather was amazing and everything went off without a hitch... Here we are 8 years, 2 kids, a house, and a couple of cars later and I am more in love with him today than I was then. I find that amazing, I didn't know it was possible to love him anymore than I already did.

Happy Anniversary Mike, you are my very best friend, an amazing father, a great provider and the greatest support I could have ever hoped for. Plus all kinds of things that aren't blog material! I love you my darling....

Always~ Michelle

Election Day...

I
won't make my blog today political. I think your
choice is yours alone as is mine. We voted based on our values and beliefs and prayerfully decided who we thought the best man is. I took Alex with me today to vote. He thought this was a neat place, plus at the end you get a sticker. (Alex LOVES stickers!) Here a couple of pictures from Alex's first ever election day! Be Blessed...

Halloween is Over....

Halloween is finally over and the candy is all gone, yes all gone! I got a great idea from another blogger and last night the "Great Pumpkin" came! He took the candy and left a couple of cool new games and a DVD. The boys were so excited this morning and we haven't had one "can have some candy" all day! I loved this idea and it worked like a charm! Thanks to: http://verybusymomwith4.blogspot.com/ Great blog, check it out sometime!

Here are some pictures of our little trick or treaters! Enjoy!
